Founded in 2014, NVG Engineering is located in Bolton, Lancashire. It provides cradle to grave support from design to commissioning of mechanical and electrical, control and instrumentation (EC&I) aspects of Containment Ventilation and Building Services, whilst additionally undertaking standalone EC&I packages associated with mechanical and process plant as a whole.

We specialise in providing such services to highly regulated industries such as Nuclear, Defence, Rail, Energy from Waste, Pharmaceutical and Hospitals, where a structured approach and well-documented / substantiated type of support is necessary.

NVG Engineering believes its offering of cradle to grave support, i.e. Concept design, Scheme Design, Detailed Design, Building Information Modelling (BIM),  Manufacturing drawings, Technical expertise to the Procurement Process, Vendor Assessments, Technical support to Manufacture, Verification of manufacturer’s  equipment Specifications/ General Arrangements, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) Procedure production and Witnessing, Commissioning documentation, Inactive and Active Commissioning, Technical Handover and forming the Life Time Quality Records (LTQR), is a reasonably unique offering, and one that promotes an ownership / delivery culture, absent from many design only consultancies.

Freelance Nuclear HVAC & Building Services Engineer with an extensive client base including M+W, Studsvik, EDF, CH2MHill, NUVIA, FS Nuclear, DSRL & Network Rail. NVG Engineering is privately owned by myself and although I remain hands on within the Business, I have implemented a Management Structure that supports a longer term development plan.  I still add value at critical ‘pinch points’ for all projects, encouraging innovation, simplicity and best value solutions for clients.

In depth experience on a range of projects from nuclear new build, nuclear clean up & decommissioning, commercial property and local authority building stock.

To provide such a delivery, every member of the NVG Engineering team is technically competent and have additional managerial skills to enable confident delivery of company requirements such as Quality Management, Security, CDM Regulations compliance, contract management and Project Management.  This approach results in these support activities complementing the engineering activities, not preventing or hindering them.

We hope that the above is of interest to you.  If so, please contact us for more information and I look forward to the opportunity of supporting you in delivering your specific requirements.
